0.3 - Reinforcements!

Can't believe it's already been like 5 months since the demo came out. We've collected over 2000 wishlists and thousands of downloads - so thank you so much for your feedback and enthusiam!
On the topic of VERY EXCITING NEWS, we have just released update 0.3: Reinforcements!
What's new?
- 2 NEW Pilots!
We've promised 1 new pilot, but spent a bit more time to add 2 new pilots for the Gunner mech class! Pilots are characters that have a new starter artifact and starter cards - to spice things up each time you play! Their mechanics will be unique, and make you able to do combos and synergies that cannot exist with any other pilot.
- Noel - the Cool-Headed Tactician
Noel is the second pilot in the game. Her starter artifact called Perma-Frost lets her retain the rightmost card in her hand each turn - and unburn it! Her starter cards replacements are Flurry Fire! and Novalanche - unique twists on the classic starters. She can easily lean into burn synergies, build up epic combos of Flurries in Fire! synergy, or devastate the board with bombs with Novalanche. Her starter artifact lets her do some nifty things such as -
- A Chain Plasma Fire that never leaves your hand?
- Repeat your turns indefinitely by unburning Alpha/Beta/Gamma?
- Setup huge hard-synergy combos by retaining exactly what you need at the right moments!
- Zeke - the Gadgeteering Genius
Zeke is the third, high complexity pilot for Gunner. His starter artifact is The Machine, which dismantles cards with Components to give you boosts! He does not start with new starter cards, but starts with Augment, as well as Downgrade Components on some of his Fires and his Nova Bomb! Break down his downgrades and boost up his other cards in a tactical and adaptive playstyle! Here's some of the potential builds you could make with only Zeke:
- Infinite Titan Rockets or Tornado? Dismantle creates a new copy of the base card, regardless of if the card purges itself or not!
- Dismantle Tactics to get Vapor and build a high Heat Sink build with the updated Furnace!
- Did you know double-Traited cards will give you two gadgets if you dismantle them?
- Mech Selection Screen and Meta-Progression
We've added the mech selection screen to let you select the pilot to play as. In the full game, there will be 3 mechs, each with their own set of unique pilots! We've also added the meta-progression system in the background - which lets you unlock the new pilots if you defeat the Mega-Blob or Kraken, respectedly. (If you want to skip metaprogression, there's an option in the settings to unlock everything)
- New Artifacts!
Find the Decoy Ammo and the Robo-Parrot in the new update! Decoy Ammo is a legendary that turns any bullets that miss into a card draw. Certainly powerful with a lot of the Fire! cards. Robo-Parrot makes it so the first card that is repeated will spawn 0 cost copies of that card in your hand instead. Parroted cards are extremely powerful and can make hundreds of unique 0-cost builds depending on what you Parrot - but you need to be careful and make sure you Parrot the right card!
- Reworks and Balance updates
We've made big changes to some of the less used artifacts, including Furnace, Nuclear Reactor and Rising Star. Furnace is now a legendary that makes it so all of your cards get +1 repeat while you have 3 or more Heat Sink. We've also updated a ton of cards, all buffs! One notable change is Siphon Fire!, which now costs 2 Heat, but gives you +1 Heat Sink for the REST of the encounter when you break a shield. Extremely powerful effect if you can set it up correctly!
What's next?
For our 0.4 update, we are focusing on fixing up the remainder of the scenes, and reworking the tutorial. Or more specifically, we will be reworking the tutorial so that it ties into the meta-progression as part of one big clean progression. It is not a content-focused update, but we will still be adding cards, artifacts, components to the game as always!

0.3.01 - The fastest hotfix in the west.
Just fixed the ordering interaction between Noel and the Nuclear Reactor - which I would not wish upon anyone.

PS: If you wanna skip the requirements to unlock the new pilots, there's a button in the options menu that let's you unlock everything!
